Soccer Marina

Marina started school today where she was new to the sixth grade, new to the commute and new to almost everything. And she just called me an said the first day of school went well and she has friends in the neighbor hood.

And now we are going to try soccer which is new to her.

1. Practices: Monday & Wednesday 5:30-7:00PM at Wellington Park (Harvey Scott school).


2. Scrimmage:  Wednesday Sept 6th Wellington Park 5:30PM


3. 1st Game:  Saturday, September 9th 10:30 AM Glenhaven West (show up 30 mins early).  Player cards will be required.  I will pick up cards this week, but everyone will need to bring a picture to our scrimmage or game that is approx. 1" x 1" (about the size of a standard driver's license picture).  This picture will be taped or laminated to the card, and will not be returned.


4. Uniforms can be purchased from Mary Ann Schelb September 6th after our scrimmage at her house.  You should have received a separate email on this.


5. Picture Night:  Wednesday September 13th - Glenhaven Park (time TBA - NO practice following).  I will bring picture order forms to the game this weekend.


6. UP Pilots club fundraiser - October 29th (not to be confused with the Oct 1st game).  I would appreciate if someone would volunteer to coordinate this for the team.


7. UP Pilots womens game Sunday Oct 1st vs Oregon.  I can get kid tickets for $3 and adult for $5 - if you're interested in going with the Lightning Bolts team, please let me know this week, and I will get tickets.
